⁸ They will bring you down to the Pit.
You will die the death of those slain
in the heart of the seas.
⁹ Will you still say, ‘I am a god’
before the one who slays you?
Yet you are man, and not a god,
in the hand of those who pierce you.
¹⁰ You will die the deaths of the uncircumcised
at the hand of strangers.
For I have spoken.”
It is a declaration of Adonai.
